By now you have probably heard that State of NJ has officially codified the set of limitations on craft breweries (ABC Special Ruling of 2019)
We are sharing this with you because your experience will be impacted by this state order. The ABC, which reports to Governor's Murphy's office, has announced they plan to "strictly enforce" these provisions immediately, and this will impact almost every craft brewery license in the state.
Among other restrictions, Breweries cannot coordinate with food trucks, are limited to 25 special events per year and cannot hire a third-party promoter to engage or assist in the planning, administration and/or operation of any on-premise special event. This includes outside vendors such as yoga instructors, musicians, non-profits, charities, wellness coaches, trivia hosts and comedians. This not only impacts the breweries, but also impacts of all of these businesses!
